With some radios and radio architectures, there is a delay between the radio operator PTTing their radio and being able to transmit. This could be due to:
- Using a trunked radio system, and having to wait for channel acquisition
- Using a secure radio, and having to wait for channel encryption or scrambling
- Otherwise having a slow-to-key transmitter
For all the above cases, you can increase the TX Audio Delay for the radio port that the affected radio is plugged into.
You could have the same symptom if the gateway is suffering from slow COR input or processing time. In this case, you would want to increase the RX Audio Delay of the radio port that the affected radio is plugged into.
